“The faithful, therefore, must learn the deepest meaning and the value of all creation, as well as its role in the harmonious praise of God. They must assist each other to live holier lives even in their daily occupations.” – Lumen Gentium

Faith Formation

We strive to nurture the minds and hearts of the entire Catholic family so we can be prepared to live our lives as effective ambassadors of our faith.

At SJB, we do not seek to merely prepare people to receive holy Sacraments, we are compelled to engage every person with a desire to enrich their understanding of what it means to be a part of the universal Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ as the compass which guides us to Him through our regular receiving of the Holy Eucharist as a communal, Eucharistic people.

We invite each of you to deepen your faith further by considering your participation in our following programs.

Become Catholic

Become Catholic

Becoming Catholic is one of life’s most profound and joyous experiences. Some are blessed enough to receive this great gift while they are infants, and, over time, they recognize the enormous grace that has been bestowed on them. Others enter the Catholic fold when they are older children or adults…

Men of Faith

Men of Faith

Men of Faith is a Catholic faith-building men’s group. We study programs from various Catholic scholars including Bishop Robert Barron, Dr. Edward Sri, Jeff Cavins, Fr. Michael Gaitley and others. We meet, roughly, during the school year at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday mornings in Benedict Hall for a quick breakfast, a DVD presentation followed by small-group discussion. At 7:30 a.m., we are out the door. Come join us for friendship, faith, and fellowship. For more information and to sign up (by the way… it’s free), contact Terry Medearis at 303.776.7967 or tmedearis80501@yahoo.com.
Bible Study

Bible Study

The Oremus study program teaches you the essentials of an effective and fruitful prayer life. You will discover how God speaks to you, even in the smallest encounters. Following the tradition of the Catholic Church and the wisdom of the saints, you will learn how to express yourself to God in prayer, and how to hear his voice. The only cost is $16 for the study guide.

The Tuesday Morning Bible Study meets at St. John’s in St. Catherine room beginning Tuesday, September 13th after 8:15 a.m. Mass and continuing every Tuesday.

For more information or to register for the study, please contact Betty Garvert at 303.772.0620, or Pauline Higgins at 303.651.0109, or e-mail rjh9pah@gmail.com.
